I would say this is the ulitmate engraved and gold inlaid 1918 Erfurt. all matching numbers hand carved grips. this is what steel canvas looks like.

YIKES!! They missed a few spots! That thing is missing so much metal I don't know if it could be shot safely..Pretty in a trashy hooker sort of way but I prefer the girl next door type..unblemished with no makeup.

Some may even call it bling, but it far surpasses that.

I realize that gun engraving is not everyone's cup of tea. I, for one, like engraved handguns that are tastefully done by real craftsmen. I only own two of them, but I cherish them, and marvel at what a craftsman can do with bare hand tools and an eye for design.
That Luger, while nice to look at, is a bit too much engraving for my taste, but I wouldn't mind owning it. Someone spent a ton of time producing that degree of engraving. |

It took over 100 hours from design to completion, i played a small part in prep and background on it over 15 years ago . the master engraver was Horace "Hoss" logan now deceased It now resides in a private collection. The current owner allowed me to see it and take a few pictures of it after learning i had a part in the engraving process, and i thought i might share a few pictures of it with the forum members. The pictures do not do it justice.

I don't own any, but I like looking at engraved guns. The Luger along with the 1911,Hi-Power and the SAA seem to wear engraving well. Thanks for sharing!

I too like engraving, but less rather than more.
I do like the grips very much.

This thread sorta reminds me about the 60's ?: Geez, how many blocks did you have to chase him to git that (shirt, tie, pair of pantz[not slacks], sneakers..what all). I cannot believe that any person that ever made a Luger, would endorse such horrible defiling of a piece of art.
