The marking indicates Bayerische Reserve Schwere Reiter Regiment 1, 1st Eskadron, Waffe 63 ( Bavarian Reserve Heavy Cavalry Regiment 1, 1st Squadron, weapon 63). Almost all the KAR 88s I have seen were Bavarian unit marked. More photos would be nice to see.
