Default DWM Magazine?

Is this a DWM magazine. I always heard that DWM mags had pyramid shapes on the follower and Erfurt had flat ones. It starts pyramid but is not pointed at the tips, flattened off. They could be worn down. No markings other than whats on the wood. I also heard Erfurt had other stamps. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Philip, Your magazine is definitely a DWM, Erfurts look like the one shown. Distinguishing features are the flattened knurling, the rectangular stake mark (not half moon shaped as on DWM's), and one or two Erfurt inspection marks on the base. Regards, Norm

Thanks Norm. I just wanted to be sure cause I am looking at getting a second original mag. I am fairly new to lugers and am now curious about the stake mark. What is that. Thanks again.

Hi, I am not Norm, but the mag stake mark is the indentation in the upper part of the mag adjacent to the follower button on an empty mag. When you look at your stake marks, they are half moon in shape compared to the rectangular marks on an Erfurt mag.
