Gerben, Ed and all,

I have used a vacuum sealer with great results in preserving items and ammo. I may collapse the box, but it will be preserved.

I store them in a dedicate safe, which is required by law over here anyway, so that protects them relatively well.

Here is a better image of the DWM box. A really nice enigma. The contents are standard WW2 code 1943 faa marked steel case iron core rounds. The box is dated 1944 inside.

Whoever bought the rounds from DWM was some organization other than the German army, as the label does not conform to army regulations. It may have been a small police contract, or perhaps a foreign order from a befriended nation. Since they showed up in Germany, I lean towards police use.
