It might be okay but I don't think I want my name, address and phone spread all over the internet. There are too many home boys and crazies out there that might want to pay me a midnight visit.

I didn't get it.
Wouldn't something like Facebook work better for this purpose? |

Douglas, In my opinion this Gentleman could accomplish the same thing with the gun forums? Anyways, best wishes to him and his club.

Kind of like a "virtual gun show"...Inventory all your items, list them, see if someone wants them...
I dunno...Sounds like a lot of work... There's a couple other Forums that have "Pay It Forward" threads...Same premise, I guess...

Talking about orphan spare parts... I've been buying a few Erma parts lately, and if it's not from a pro seller/parts dealer, it's often from somebody who has absolutely no use for them and is passing them on. I, for one, am thankful they are not just hucked into a scrap barrel, 'cause I need 'em!
Oh, well, the auction is closed, with 0 bids. Guess we have to continue our farty old journeys independently, still. |

I'm on another site, but I'm pretty sure that the Old Farts Club was relisted...

I don't know if I qualify for the Old farts Club. Although I was inducted into the GOB Squad (Grumpy Old Bastards).

Google translates "Wer im ..." into "Those who live in glass houses should not with stones throw". Every word translated but its meaning is still unclear.... I guess it means something like.... bonding very different interest together not being a good idea?

Here in the US, it is said like this, "Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones" Another saying with similar intent is "Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?"
Basically, it means don't mock or criticize in others what you are yourself. |
