Is it particularly typical for there to be that that outline in the safety area? I know Swiss Lugers are pricier than most other basic Lugers but gosh, already at $3000.

There are many scarce & pricey Luger variations. Especially on early DWM Lugers. Not a Luger expert, but this one is a refurbished gun. Since it's not original, it has no book value. The value is open up to the buyer. Probably this one can go above $4k. Let's bookmark this auction page to track it.
