Default Grips on my G date S/42

I was just wondering if ALL luger grips were numbered to the pistol when they left the factory. I took the grips off my G date and couldn't find any numbers. I know the grips are original WWII because I got the pistol and holster from the veteran who brought the rig back and he never changed anything.

Hi Phil,

Your explanation of how you got the gun answers your question. No all grips were numbered on the G-date Lugers.

Default Not all were numbered -- forget the "no" -- can't type (EOM)
