Please weigh my opinion in the very limited knowledge and experience I have in Lugers, but for the price you will pay for a new pistol you can get a very decent origonal if you will ask these guys to help. There have been dozens of 1911-A1 copies made over the years that work great but Lugers have not economically copyable. If you want a new production consider the Mausers that were imported by interarms. Check out the Want To Buy section in the links and put a price out. Then ask here what kind of deal it is.
