Hi Steve,
Most 1906 American Eagles have unnumbered grips. Serial# locations on 1906 commercials and American eagles are; full S#- frame, barrel. last two digits- receiver lug, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, breechblock, forward toggle (underside), rear toggle, grip safety.
A ballpark value of an excellent condition 1906 American Eagle 30 cal. is around $2000-$2700 range.
A 9mm is around $2800-$3500 range.
