Is there a difference between a suppressor and a silencer

hgreer2 Banned Join Date: Nov 2010 Posts: 309 Thanks: 1 Thanked 29 Times in 20 Posts	It was my impression that the word suppressor was used with military weapons like my M1D Garand. It has a flash suppressor so that the enemy would have a harder time finding you. I never heard a silencer called a suppressor. Never to old to learn something new I guess. Harry
