That decision probably has cost the hearing of many hunters.
I have tinnitus for previously hunting without. So for me it would make more sense to me if it was mandatory rather than with restrictions. Eric; yes. On all rifles I have tried, it has been an improvement. Long range target shooters here in Norway use it for e.g 338LM, primary not to reduce sound, but to gain some accuracy. It has to do with the harmonic vibrations of the barrel, adding any weight on the muzzle area, would in most cases improve the accuracy. Also, by reducing the recoil, most people for various reasons just shoot better..
