Default BYF41 w/ mismatched safety bar

Looking at another BYF41 w/ a mismatched safety bar, other than that all parts are matching, bluing is 90-95%, wood grips, FXO magazine. Pictures tell the story I know..which I don't have right now, but having just that one mismatched part...well, what does that do to the value...is 1 grand still reasonable or no???? Chris..

Mismatched is mismatched. Sort of like being just a little bit pregnant.
Now having said that a grand for that gun doesn't sound too bad. $800 sounds better.
And you may get lucky and find the correct numbered part to forcematch the gun. Maybe even find a cheap shooter with that part, swap out the part, and re-sell it.

It would only be a '69'

not the full serial number

The safety bar attaches to the safety and is the part that swings up and down when you move the safety lever

Default Reliable magazine

Hello,

I have an original magazine, all proof marks, serial number winged eagle proof. No prevoius or existing rust. It is the crimped style along each side with an aluminum base. It seems to bind when pushed up to the locked position. Do these mags somehow form out of shape and is there a way to reform these obviously without being visible.
