In response to your first question: My limited experience would say that it is not a good idea to be in possession of a pistol stock AND any gun that it will work on. The old rule on the auto sears for the AR-15 to M16 full auto function was that the parts themselves were legal to possess, however if you happened to also own an AR-15, then you were in trouble. Even if the parts were not installed on said AR.
Again, when in doubt, don't.
