Now that Simpson's is offfering a Ub test gun for $ 2750, I wonder if Jackson Armory will reduce the selling price of their example from $12,000........

Actually, you'd be more correct to say it's been RE-activated, sorta. The theory is as I understand it is that the Ub guns had a sort of small pressure port drilled into the barrel for measurements to be taken. The hole in the Simpsons gun has been welded closed, and they advise it shouldn't be fired. The Jackson armory gun doesn't have and never had the hole.
