Looks like a generally honest early P08 with some issues;
- The blueing on the front strap appears freshened where the unit marks are. - A very strange metal stress issue on the backstrap, with parrallel gouges and a crack? - The wood base on the magazine looks like a reproduction or home made. |

Hi David, It's a highly desirable and collectible DWM 1st Issue (1909), unit marked to a machine gun company. However, the issue that Alan raised, the apparent crack in the rear grip strap, is cause for concern. I would ask for more photos of that area, with the grips removed. The 22 conversion is a plus, the magazine base is a minus. Regards, Norm

I've seen the conversion kits offered for fairly hefty prices, online. What's a fair ballpark, just for the .22 kit?

David, I question the blue and straw. Strong possibility the pistol has been restored.
The .22 conversion is post war so I don't know if it's worth much? The magazine body looks good and the wood bottom looks good from the side? Bottom looks milled out somehow?
