These were for taking off the grip screws so the pistol could be cleaning thoroughly. Of course, the magazine slips into the tool and you press down on the screwdriver side to lower the follower to aid insertion of catridges. Thats it. It is a pretty cool devise.

Since the screwdriver/loading tool was already in each holster, I can understand foregoing a milled locking lever on a stock iron and simply using the accompanying loading tool to lock. These were for police, not military.

Unfortunately, I can no longer buy the iron. It is up for bid with a pistol. Someone placed a bid. The pistol is in such bad condition that I won't bid $700.00 for everything. That's ok. I'll wait another 6+ years for one to show up. Hopefully, one of our friends here can set me up with an original L-35 or M-40 shoulder stock.
