Make up any reason you want because no one will be able to disprove it. Russian rebuild? Yes, sir. Soldiers sitting in a circle throwing parts into a helmet as they cleaned their weapons, You betcha'. Maybe even Eli Walach (Tucha) making the ultimate functioning Luger for his never ending war with Blondie. I'm sure that 'Ole Wilie Coyote could be worked into this story...
Anyway, you get the picture.
