Interesting Picture
Picture of "Arizona Lawmen, Sonora, Arizona" - Arizona Rangers??? I assume from the early 1900's. Interesting to note that 3 have Colt SAA's, 3 have Colt 1911"s, & one has a Luger!

Yes, I knew there had to be photo's like this, and have been looking for some.
Very cool. It's a shame it is not dated at all.... ed

Wow, The lawman on the left definitely has the pistol pointing in the wrong direction!!! I don't think I would be comfortable walking around like that!!!

The runt with the stogie looks like a mean SOB to me...I wouldn't want any part of him...
I don't see a badge on any of them...Three can't afford holsters...Only one pair of handcuffs visible... Citizens Vigilance Committee, perhaps...

It's interesting that the tie was still an important part of dress in this dessert climate. The diversity of physical types is notable. No Hollywood types here!
I don't think any of these men took any guff from anyone!! |

I love this kind of picture.
It's like fresh air concerning the stereotype of "prussian-only" use of Lugers that is on our minds most of the time... Thanks for sharing! Douglas |
