I can't contribute to the diameter issue, but I have loaded a lot of 125 gr. round nose cast bullets in 9mm for use in all my 9s, including Lugers, brooms and SMG's. I have toyed with powder charges and lengths, but I have yet to get a 4" Luger to feed them well. The Artillery and the Navy eats them well, but all 4 inchers fail to feed reliably, which I can only attribute to the "roundish" nose shape.
Seller and Belloit jacketed always seems to work in them. From now on I'll spend a bit more for jackted bullets for my 9mm reloads. dju |
