Thanks everybothy for the information !!!!!!

Leen,

Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on your Luger.

While it's a good idea to replace springs, be aware that there were different recoil springs (gauged by the number of turns of the spring) for Lugers of different generations. Generally there are fewer turns in the WW-I era pistols.

Since your gun is working fine with the loads you've selected, you may not need to immediately replace springs .

I have Wolff springs for my Luger and have had good experience with them.

You should have a 21 or 22 turn recoil spring. I believe that this is the "default" spring that they ship in the Wolff Luger spring kit. It's the correct one for a late Mauser Luger like yours. This is the spring that they include with the complete Luger spring kit (along with the extractor spring and the trigger spring).

They also have a 3 recoil spring kit with springs cut to different lengths.
There is a fairly heavy trigger pull on my Luger, especially when compared with other pistols in Single Action firing.

I have been using my own reloads. 4.0gn of TiteGroup powder behind a 129gn cast lead bullet. This is a slightly reduced load. Other than that, it's Winchester white box 115gn FMJ.

Thanks Marc,

I will order some wolff springs for my p08. Last time when I fired my p08 my hand was shaking because of the hard trigger pull. I have to get used to it I guess.

Is you p08 all matching to?
