The "M" on the alum bottom appears to be cast in, rather than stamped, so it too may be Portugese made. This type of post WW2 mag, usually has a crude light colored wood bottom. The Mauser mags supplied with the GRN contract in 1935, will have the typical nickeled tubes of the period and usually unnumbered alum bottoms.
