The HSc is a nice pistol which has had an image problem for one reason or another. Not that surprising when you know it had to compete with classics like the P38 and P08 while also being influenced by the Walther PP/K on which it was based.

Add to that a rather short service history and a not that succesfull reintroduction in the 1960s and 70s. But compared to the M1914 and M1934 pistols, and certainly in todays standards it is a nice, well made pistol that was quite far ahead of its time in shape and style. No wonder that several modern companies carried on their variations of the design.
