does anyone ever see any 6 inch 7.65mm barrels come up for sale? seems that it would get the most out of the cartridge, and make for a flat shooting field pistol

Nuke, I have a few NOS rust blued 7.65x150mm (6") "Germany" marked barrels from Pacific Arms Corp. with front sight installed @$250 each. These are idea for a "factory" upgrade of a "20 commerical. I can also install for $100 addition + return S&H of your luger. Also have one vg used 7.65mm x 6&1/2" non-factory made barrel with a custom front sight @$75 + $10 S&H. Please send MO or check to:

Make sure you get the proper sight set up for the rear sight you are using, many 6" barrels do not have a tall enough front sight block and the Luger will shoot very high without the right set up.
