This is my one and only Luger that I'm thinking about selling. As you can see it has various areas of pitting and wear and the bore is a little worn but not too bad. However all parts are matching except the mag. The grips are in excellent shape and the mag is correct to it but it appears that it was damaged at the bottom but its still functions (I've used it only once). The holster is in great shape. Despite the obvious wear marks and scratches the only thing bad about it is that its almost 100 years old. I've never seen a WW1 holster in this good condition. So here's the question that's been asked a million times on this forum: What's it worth? I think I paid $700ish for it years ago. The reason I'm thinking about selling it is that I found another Luger that I'm considering and I could use the money for other things (like college). I'd appreciate any input.

Hi Bill, My gut feeling is that the gun is worth $700.00 to $1,000.00, the holster $300.00 to $500.00. I also think you will do better selling them separately. The holster has an interesting period repair to one of the belt loops, probably done by the regimental cobbler! Good luck with college. Regards, Norm

Agree completely with Norm. The only things that would increase the value would be a matching magazine and/or a unit marking on the grip strap.

I haven't seen brown holsters go for that much for a year or two...
Ebay is where to try, i would guess that the holster would sell for $260-$300 max Ed

I'm not sure if I would separate the holster since it may be the one that was originally issued to the gun. Plus I'd probably keep it and just sell the Luger since I don't really care about it. I forgot to add the pic of the left side of the barrel that has some pitting and the bore itself has some frosting. It doesn't have regimental stamps or a matching mag and the mag that it has is not in the best shape. But would it be right for me to keep in holster and sell the Luger and break up a pair that may have been together since 1916?
