I am new here. so hi.
![]() I was looking at a gun of a friends last night that his Dad had left him. It appears to be just like this one, except the SN is 13902. Is this gun a 7.65mm? Was it made in 1900? These are probably goofy questions to you guys, but my only knowledge of Lugers is what I found in the Blue Book of Guns. My friend has zero knowledge of guns in general and his Dad is deceased. By the marking & the info I found in that book I had it narrowed down to this model.... which the book said was a 7.65mm and one made in 1906 that was a 9mm. I was leaning toward the first because of the SN, 13902. I could find no marking for caliber, but it appears smaller than a 9mm. I am going back today with my calipers to measure the bore. Anyway, I did a search this morning and found this site..... I figured someone on here would know the answers. Thank you in advance for any help. Cp PS / SN's all match...... it is not a "parts" gun.
