Hi Steinar,
Once the barrel gets past 12 inches or so, issues begin to occur with balancing the mass of the barrel and pressure curve with the main spring. Numrich Gun Parts used to sell 16" barrel carbine coversion kits. I've heard that they didn't function well, and I believe they have quit selling them. Ron
