Default Stove piping live round

I apologize if this problem has been previously discussed, but here goes:

I have a G date that is matching except for the side plate. I have tried different ammo and different mags, but I get the same problem. After about 3-4 rounds are fired successfully, the breech block pushes a live round nose up toward the chamber. Tonight I got one live round that was wedged at a perfect 90 degree angle, and several others that were at about 45 degrees. It'll do this once per mag, and then after I clear the lodged round it functions fine.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

This sounds like a magazine issue. Have you experienced this with other mags in the gun?

THis could be any of several things or a combination of them: Inconsistant ammo load, damaged extractor or weak spring, or too strong a recoil spring for the ammo that you are using. TH

Yes. Everything from the correct G Date mag to the Schmeisser mags.

Recommend you get a magazine that has been rebuilt by member GT... they are a "known quality"... then I would get you a new recoil spring (Wolf)... and use quality ammo (Winchester white box bulk ammo sold at walmart)... to see if the problem persists...

Do these in reverse order (least to most expensive) to try and solve your problem.
