After a bit more extensive review (looking at pictures)of Walter's 'The Luger Book', I found a picture of a Luger fitted with the muzzle brush and a postwar .22LR conversion unit (on p. 102). Walter indiates that the true intent of the "accessory" in question was as a support for the cleaning rod. Greg
