Need a little help removing barrel

Take the gun and push the muzzle against a firm but non-marring surface, (I simply use the palm of my hand), gun unloaded, of course!. While the entire upper receiver is pushed back, flip the disassembly lever down then follow normal take down instructions..
The old timers have a trick where they hold the gun, thumb across the backstrap and all other fingers grasping the top. You can pull the top back far enough with this method to flip down the lever as well..
