Default My first luger

Hi Guys,

Im new to this fantastic forum, thank God for the internet! I got my first luger after 30 yrs of dreaming of having one unfortunately is a chrome plated one but still is a dream come true for me. Is an all matching one, including grips (but the magazine) I thought at one point to strip the chrome and have it reblued but I realized that the chrome is part of its history so I will keep it the way its and keep my eyes open for one with the real color. here go the pics
thanks,

Hi Luis,

Welcome to the forum. Too bad that it's been chromed or nickeled, but as you said, it is part of the history. Many Vets commemorated their souvenirs in this way. From the looks of the sheen, I would say nickel. Which is a bit classier than chrome.

Not a bad example, and it's still a Luger.

Ron

Luis,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on fulfilling an old dream! Be aware that you will most likely get more Lugers, these little things are highly addictive. You will find a lot of very friendly and very knowlegdable gurus here (I'm not a guru, although I try to be friendly ) . Your Luger appears to be in good shape, maybe you should try to find a correct magazine for it. The wooden bottom ones were not produced after 1929, but I'm sure somebody will trade your wooden for a proper aluminum bottom magazine - I will.
