I assume it's a Mauser? Heard somewhere saying Mauser's main spring is stronger than that of DWM, and requires relatively hotter ammo to work properly (dangerous: please wait experts in the forum to confirm this, and don't over do it). I would think regular Winchester 115gr FMJ sold in Walmart should work on Mauser. I have never tried it on Mauser Luger because I have not gotten one yet.
