Default Recoil Spring Guide

I recently purchased a Mitchell Arms US Eagle P-08 (manufactured 1992 by Aimco out of Houston, TX). After firing a few rounds, the toggle did not return to battery. Investigation showed the recoil spring guide had become disconnected from the recoil spring lever. The spring guide appears to have a slight bend and appears to be an investment casting. Can it be straightened or do I need a new part? Is there some trick to removing the recoil spring guide and recoil spring from the frame?
