People here know Para 100 times better than me, but I will give it a try. Could be wrong, please let me know.

(1) Wrong finish. Supposed being an all "black" gun;
(2) Wrong finish. The black parts look like rust blue, not salt blue (the delta is more obvious under stong light source);
(3) Counterbored? Is it relined?

Wait. Isn't that cover removed to show you numbers match, on purpose?

What a great idea! Someone should make this a regular feature. A good way to learn!

I picked up the lack of side plate, but didn't connect with the strawing until Alvin.

Madagascar? Wasn't that one of the road films with Hope and Crosby? LOL

I wonder how long it took Thor to realize it ...Put Luger together; set up photo shoot; put Luger aside and transfer pic to computer; upload to web site; check pic...D'OH!!!...

I like someone who can laugh at himself...

I showed this picture to Mrs Thor, she has seen HUNDREDS of Lugers and she couldnt figure out what I was asking her when I said, "whatsa wronga with da piktur?" I gotta go talk to the help and find out what they did with THAT STINKIN SIDEPLATE!!!! They do look a bit ..........."grumpy" today!! Cant seem to be good at hammer swinging today! I think I got a revolt brewing! Here is one of the helper from my shop! Doesnt he look grumpy! lol

Ted,
The other thing I saw that was wrong is that this Luger is shooting a red pencil rather than the familar blue pencil. Some of us need a little sense of order with respect to your work and this is disturbing!

Nah, it's a joke. Thor usually uses a blue pencil to support the guns while he is photographing them. I was just jerking his chain a little bit. Pardon the inside joke.

Ahhh but is it all matching numbered? Are you going to shoot it? It looks like a rare beauty!
