I did read news recently saying a few (5?) coin collector associations issued "WARNING" to members on fake pre 1900 U.S. silver coins. Claimed being made in China. Collectors have lost a few million dollars on those. Of course there are U.S. coin dealers involved helping this, manufacturer alone cannot distribute over Pacific.

Too easy to be faked. Don't collect coins. It's always a little bit too late to receive those warnings.
