Just out of curiousity, did you wear a mask when you bought it?

Derek,
You did fine. As said above the refinish working was well done (at least above the average that we usually see). I bet you will attract a lot of curiosity when take this baby to the range with the stock attached. Douglas |

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I am still marveling over the beauty of this one.
I just want to say, not once did I make an offer on this pistol. Woody emailed me when I showed some interest ( I live about 70 miles from him), and told me that based on this website, and some others, that the person he was trying to help out and himself had decided that $1200 + tax would be fair. Not knowing any more about Lugers than I do, I thought that seemed to be a good buy considering you don't see many Artilleries here in South Alabama, and even a shooter grade mis-match numbered standard Luger will often fetch $1000 or more. Anyway, although I am not the original poster of this thread, I appreciate the input that helped me decide to purchase this Arty. Love it - now I'm ready to put a few rounds through it. And who knows? In 10 years it might be worth something to someone more than me, and help pay for some of my kids' college expenses. Derek |
