I'll go out on a limb and say that if the gun is a nice piece, matching, not pitted, etc. but with 40% bluing loss, $1500 is not bad. 1900 and 1906 models are simply worth more in this market. Hopefully, in 10 years you'll wish you'd have bought a truck load of them at that money.
