Well, everything looks great!
I was trying to eliminate the possibility that the upper did not belong with the gun and I think we have done that.

A good gunsmith can install a barrel without any signs but almost no one builds up the lug after removing a SN. So I think we are good.

I am afraid none of this answers your original questions.

You have an interesting gun, thanks for tolerating my digging around.
