Not knowing lugers very well, I'm wondering if this could be an aftermarket sight, or from another type of gun altogether. The number on it not only doesn't match any of the two major sets of mismatched numbers, but as was pointed out earlier, the font doesn't even match the rest of the gun.

Being mismatched, this gun is definitely just a shooter. Since I have the sight removed, I'll probably start taking it around to hardware or hobby stores to see if I can find a screw to fit into it. Being that it is not a collectible, I'm not willing to pay $50. Besides, if a genuine replacement was found I would rather it be left available for a collector who needs it.

The hard part will be sighting it. Once I have it aimed properly, I'll likely have to disassemble it partially just to get the angle on it to tighten it down.
