"TM08's had their capacity limited for political reasons in certain countries".
Hi Joe, While I'm not an expert on Trommel magazines. It sounds like you are being sold a bill of goods. Never heard of "British Black". The British used a form of black paint on their military weapons, similar to "Stove Black". Repro loaders are often painted rather than blued. The repro loaders are selling for around $350-$500 new, and might be worth having if you should ever find an original Trommel magazine. As far as limited mag capacity. I have never heard this either. Most countries with restrictions on mag capacity, ban ownership completely or require that they be completely deactivated. There are/were repro Trommel magazines made in China or Japan that are nothing more than an 8 round magazine fitted to a reproduction Trommel style drum. This sounds like one of those repros. Is there a serial number on the drum? From what you have stated, I wouldn't waste my time or my money on the magazine, unless it's just for display and cheap. Ron
