bob, welcome to the forum,
It is what is called a model 1900, it has an ideal stock and grips and those are worth a grand or more by themselves. Dwight collects info on early lugers, there is a huge database here on the forum; you can find it by looking in the archive area. He would like full serial number, any proof marks on it, caliber, etc. database: http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...threadid=16979 Info on early lugers: http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...780#post129780 Is the area under the safety blued or in the white? No offense, but it might be a bit too nice looking for a gun that is 100 years old. Maybe some close ups of the top, right side, etc? Ed
