Is it actually a police gun? If not the mags could be correct.

Default fxo mags to banner 42

George: I'm sorry I forgot to include that. Yes it is an eagle L marked gun. So it would NOT be right for the police gun?

I have in my possession, a 1940 Banner with a police eagle on right hand side of the frame, sear safety, police holster-- 1940 dated, 2 matching mags to the gun, however the gun absolutely has NO letter after the police eagle. It is obviously a police gun with all the stuff with it, but I can't understand why no letter after the eagle?? Any explanations or ideas on this? Have you ever seen or heard of this before?........Ron
