OK Mike, you got my attention! What is the story on #12 from Herr Volz? The writing is a little small to read but from what I can piece together it looks like it is a “like new” 1906 with a 9mm barrel Crown/N proofed, having a chamber crest from the Republic of Paraguay, obtained in the “original carton with accessories” and with possible provenance from “President Gonzales 1908-40?”. There is some more stuff about it being the “only piece” but my eyes aren’t good enough to make out all of the words. Must have been pretty special to pay about $10 grand in “those days”!
