To John, Back in 1985/6 many of us purchased M14s, 30-06 Garrands,.30 M1& M2 Carbines,Fals in 7.62,AR10s in 7.62 (Dutch M16 types)from Uk dealers. Also, converted to semi-auto only, Sten 9mms, MP40s,Sterlings & Madsens all x SMGs. Some were mint, others not perfect, but still very good. The UK dealers seemed to have thousands of them to dispose off at that time, Then it seemed a lot of those dealers closed down, leaving just a few to carry on,one that I knew from Portsmouth UK became a Church Minister ,what a difference. Those were the good days,we never had any trouble, everyone seemed to appreciate the trust placed in them to act responsibly, and it worked well. Then in 1996 our Chief Minister (Govt) decided we must give up self loading rifles except 22lr.The other Islands could keep theirs but not us.Yet we were allowed to keep as many handguns as we wished. How does one ever figure out politicians.Kestraal

Wow, nice to hear that there are still some UK Subjects that can arm themselves! I went to school on an exchange program(mme) 23 years ago in London and was astonished how the mention of guns was as if I was talking about porn or mass murder. You all were under Nazi occupation during WWII so, did your Dad get the Luger from a defeated German? Your status as UK subjects is similar to US citizens in places like Guam and Puerto Rico. BTW, nice M-14 and can you all have full auto weapons? Best regards from the first successful colony.
