Four digit date mags/grips

Hey Frank....(you look familiar....do I know you from somewhere..?? hee)
Thanx for the info....sounds rather convoluted. Interesting to find out why the stopping and starting of numbering. Any info on when the grips were waffen'd and when not ? With all the Lugers I've had I could never detect a pattern of when grips were and weren't waffen'd. Maybe Jan Still will produce a book about it.... loogee.
