Default 2nd variation luger 1937 s/42

What is a 2nd variation luger? I was told 1937 military s/42 luger did not have straw parts??? Not sure what that is and what year was straw parts used? I would appreciate any help. Regards.

Dave,
There are straw parts on early production 1937 S/42's (1st variation). The later ones are all blue (2nd variation).
