Trigger lever and spring

My 1974 version does not have the spring, just a pin. Since the pin takes some effort to push out I assume there is a spring loaded detent inside the hole to keep the pin in place?

I'm so glad I found this site! Today during my second box through this gun the trigger failed to reset (Failed to **** actually as I found out by reading the sticky). I did the fix and am waiting for a chance to try it. Thanks
