Default J.R.114.5.

J.R.114.5.

Hello Gentlemen,

I know almost nothing about unit markings, and I need help..

On the attached photo the Luger pistole (1915 dated) has the stamp: â?? R.114.5. 12â?, which means that this pistol has been issued to the Infanterie Regiment 114, Kompanie 5, # 12. ok. (sorry for my bad photo).

I got the attached original photo showing a group of german soldiers from the â?? Ers. Batl. J.R. 114. 5. Komp. Korpâ?, that I translate in Infanterie Regiment 114, Kompanie 5. Am I correct please ?

My question is:
is the â??R.114.5â? of the pistol the same Unit as the â?? Ers. Batl. J.R. 114. 5.â? of the original photo ?
Thank you for your help !
christian
