Default 1936 with DWM toggle

Hi All, A friend of mine have a Very fine 95% condition 1936 S/42 Luger, serial no 7542 m, but there is one great hitch, the toggle and side plate are 1920 commercial DWM.
All the numbers of this Luger are matching, even the mag.The dealer that he bought it from told him that the guy who sold him this Luger is not a collector and probably he got the toggle mixed up from a 1920 DWM commercial while playing around dismantling his guns.
He asked me to post this topic in hope that somebody has the 1936 S/42 toggle in a 1920 DWM commercial , which he is willing to exchange for the 1920 DWM toggle in this 1937 S/42.Luger.
It is like looking for a needle in a haystack, but no harm in trying.

Alf

I wish your friend luck on finding the missing original parts--I don't look for it to happen He might find the correct parts for his gun however.

I wouldn't mind seeing better pictures of the magazine, what is the serial number?

If that's true, the previous owner must have a DWM frame with Mauser toggle.... find the guy should solve the problem.

There should or could be a paper trail so the previous owners could be ID.

That is the general idea, to find the guy who bought a 1920 DWM Luger with a 1936 S/42 toggle.
