Default Can anyone identify this holster? Luger?

Can anyone help me identify this holster? It has markings on it as JSD with 1943 below that and an eagle with 2 in it?

Hello Mr azgunnut, your holster is for a belgian FN pistol and JSD is the code for Gustav Reinhard Leder warenwrenfabrik. The stick eagle is a Krieghoff acceptance mark.

Let me know if you are thinking of selling it

Actually I am thinking of buying it at an auction. How much does it look like it is worth? Does it fit a FN Highpower? If not I would be willing to bid on it for you or show you where the site is to bid.

These were also used for hungarian something or rathers, I have sold two of these, one for a FN 1922, the other for the Hungarian 37; it is actually a Eagle 21 I have been told. Inside it will usually be marked for a 37 or a fn 1922 or wahtever it fits.

Thanks for the info. Once you told me about the Hungarian 37, I actually found a site with a picture of the holster. Looking at the holster on that site, it is a 21.

If anyone wants to bid on this holster, you can get to the auction site at www.potofgoldestate.com. I've bought a lot from this auction house (located in Avondale Arizona) and they are good people. Click on currect auction and it is item #77. I don't have either of those pistols.

I purchased one from Doug Smith of FGS that was unissued and had never had a gun in it for $175, so keep that in mind as you bid.

I have seen quite a few of these holsters lately on different sights, all brand new. Don't know if there was a cache discovered, or if someone is making them again.

These were made for the 1922(very common), M37(common), HSc (rare) and PP&PPK(very rare). The pistol designation by model, should be printed in ink on the under side of the flap.

The key to these holsters is generally the placement of the magazine pouch. Those placed on the spine are FN1922 and those placed on the front body are Femaru Mod 37. As Ron says there are other models but I don't see those enough to know anything about them.
A guy by the name of Airborne on eBay had dozens of these that looked like new out of Eastern Eurpope or Russia at one time. They sure looked legitimate but brand new.
