John,
Obviously you are correct. I have seen these beautiful "faux pas" pearls, but haven't decided if they are worth what it will probably take to get them! |

I wouldn't mind some "Ivory" grips on my Luger, but they'd have to be fake, Pearl would be okay, but Patton would have a fit.
Here are some addresses from a Combat handgun article, they might have grips some of you could use; Altamount Company, 901 N. Church St., Box 309, Dept. CH, Thomasboro, IL 61878; Ph: (217) 643-3125 Ajax Custom Grips, P.O. Box 560129, Dept. CH, Dallas, TX 75356; Ph. (214) 630-8893 Barami Corporation, 6689 Orchard Lake Rd., #148, Dept. CH, West Bloomfield, MI 48322; Ph: (248) 738-0462: Eagle Grips, 460 Randy Rd., Dept. CH, Carol Stream, IL 60188; Ph: (800) 323-6144 Farrar Tool Company, 12150 Bloomfield Ave. #E, Dept. CH, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670; Ph: (562) 863-4367 Hogue Grips, P.O. Box 1138, Dept. CH, Paso Robles, CA 93447; Ph: (800) 438-4747 Pachmayr Ltd., 1875 S. Mountain Ave., Dept. And Tyler grips is at this website, but they no longer make grips and may or may not have any Luger grips in stock (couldn't reach anyone on the phone): http://www.t-grips.com/ Ed |

Thanks, Ed, those grips on AA are Tyler Grips. I have a call and an email to them, but haven't heard back from them.

WOW those are some real pretty lugers. Makes me even prouder of mine. Those grips you see on mine, they age genuine fake ivory from Jay Scott complete with the 1/8" wood backing! These are quite rare and almost impossible to obtain nowadays. I love the artillery want one some day, maybe one of the newly manufactured stainless versions. Maybe a custom one off made from another shooter. We'll see.
